This procedure applies to foreign citizens from non-EU countries who wish to enroll in bachelor’s and master’s programs organized at Politehnica University of Timișoara, as well as in the Romanian language preparatory year at UPT. |

Language requirements | English If you do not have an English language certificate such as TOEFL, Cambridge, IELTS, LCCI, TRINITY ISE, ECL, you may take an online test at the INTERLINGUA Center of UPT. Please note that this process may take approximately three weeks. The application process cannot proceed until you receive your test result and upload it here. Additionally, a fee of 40 EUR plus transfer fees applies. Overview
The main goal of this master’s programme is to provide students with skills related to the design and construction of safe structures, with a strong emphasis on current requirements regarding the interaction between construction and the environment, and the environmental impact of structures, aiming to enhance the sustainability and competitiveness of the construction sector.
The programme builds upon and completes bachelor-level studies by introducing advanced methods of analysis and design. Students are exposed to current topics such as Building Information Modeling (BIM), structural robustness, fire safety, and performance-based seismic design of building structures. The programme also offers opportunities for students to engage in research activities conducted in the department’s laboratories.
This programme trains highly qualified specialists with a focus on steel and composite (steel-concrete) structures, and it meets the demands of the international labor market. Master’s graduates are well prepared to pursue specific careers in line with their training and to identify the most suitable professional opportunities.
