Student Health Clinic
UPT students receive free medical assistance at the Student Health Clinic, which offers services in: general medicine, dentistry, surgery, dermatology, internal medicine and echography, familial planning, ENT (ear, nose, throat), ophthalmology (ORL), and psychiatry. The schedule is made according to the faculty one belongs to. All students benefit of the services from the clinic. In addition, all students under 26 years old benefit also from additional family doctor services, which are different from the students’ policlinic. If you are above 26 years old, even if you are a scholarship holder, in order to be fully covered by the Romanian health insurance, one must pay 185 RON (37 Euro) each month, or 2.220 RON a year (445 Euro). This sum is subject to change. This public insurance is not compulsory, but it is highly advisable to have it: free hospitalization, free consultations, free blood analysis once a year, a personal family doctor for any school or employment leaves. Also, it is good to have it as only one doctor consultation in a private clinic can cost up to 300 RON (60 EUR), so better pay the public health insurance at ANAF .
