English language test at the INTERLINGUA Center of UPT

Don’t have a language certificate? Here’s what you can do!

If you are applying for a study programme taught in English, you must demonstrate your English proficiency.
This can be done in one of the following ways:

  • You hold a recognized English language certificate (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge, etc.)
    OR
  • You are a native speaker and have studied in English for at least 2 years, and you are uploading proof of study (such as a diploma, transcript, etc)

If you do not meet either of the above, you can take the English language test organized by the INTERLINGUA Center of Politehnica University Timișoara (UPT).

Test information
The test is conducted exclusively online, via Zoom.
Required equipment: a device with a camera and microphone (computer/laptop/tablet/phone), internet connection, and the Zoom app installed.
Candidates must keep their camera and microphone on throughout the test, and join the session using their real full name. The written part of the test (max. 2 hours) must be handwritten. Pages must include name, date, and number of pages, and must be signed. After completion, candidates must photograph or scan each page and send them via reply email, within 15 minutes.
Evaluation is based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

The fee for the language test is 40 EUR.

Make sure that in the comments section you mention your full name and the text TAXA TESTARE LINGVISTICA INTERLINGUA /INTERLINGUA LANGUAGE TEST FEE. The proofs of payment which do not include this information are not valid.

The proof of payment and the registration form will be sent by email to interlingua@upt.ro at least three days before the day of the test.

Language certificate
Certificates are issued in Romanian and are valid for two years. They are aligned with CEFR levels. You will receive your certificate by email within three working days after taking the test.
