Territory requirements | Applications are NOT accepted from the following territories (based on citizenship): European Union. This procedure applies to foreign citizens from non-EU countries who wish to enroll in bachelor’s and master’s programs organized at Politehnica University of Timișoara, as well as in the Romanian language preparatory year at UPT. |

Language requirements | English If you do not have an English language certificate such as TOEFL, Cambridge, IELTS, LCCI, TRINITY ISE, ECL, you may take an online test at the INTERLINGUA Center of UPT. Please note that this process may take approximately three weeks. The application process cannot proceed until you receive your test result and upload it here. Additionally, a fee of 40 EUR plus transfer fees applies. Native speakers — Candidates coming from countries where the official language is the same as the language of instruction are exempt from this test, provided they can present official school documents proving that they studied in that language for at least two years. |

Overview
Information and computing technology is present in nearly all aspects of modern professional and personal life. The Master of IT programme is a research- and specialization-oriented master’s degree in information engineering and technology, designed to train highly qualified specialists in the field. Graduates will be capable of selecting and integrating computing systems and services, as well as developing, adapting, and managing the latest and most secure computing technologies to meet the growing demands of a wide range of application domains.
In addition to in-depth knowledge and advanced IT competencies, graduates of the Master of IT programme will acquire critical thinking, innovation, and research skills, along with strong communication abilities, interdisciplinary collaboration, and project leadership in team settings.
Graduates of the Master of IT programme are in high demand on the Computer Science and IT job market, both in Romania and abroad.
