Territory requirements | Applications are NOT accepted from the following territories (based on citizenship): European Union. This procedure applies to foreign citizens from non-EU countries who wish to enroll in bachelor’s and master’s programs organized at Politehnica University of Timișoara, as well as in the Romanian language preparatory year at UPT. |

Language requirements | English If you do not have an English language certificate such as TOEFL, Cambridge, IELTS, LCCI, TRINITY ISE, ECL, you may take an online test at the INTERLINGUA Center of UPT. Please note that this process may take approximately three weeks. The application process cannot proceed until you receive your test result and upload it here. Additionally, a fee of 40 EUR plus transfer fees applies. Native speakers — Candidates coming from countries where the official language is the same as the language of instruction are exempt from this test, provided they can present official school documents proving that they studied in that language for at least two years. |

Overview
The SE Master’s programme is an advanced research-oriented programme in engineering and software technologies. Its purpose is to train highly qualified specialists in the field of software engineering, capable of developing efficient systems and applications.
This programme has a forward-looking vision and focuses on the development of software technologies, offering concepts, methodologies, and solutions for increasingly complex problems, while adhering to strict standards of reliability, safety, and security.
Throughout their studies, students will acquire advanced knowledge and skills related to the design, development, and implementation of software systems, using the latest technologies in the field. At the same time, they will develop specific abilities in critical analysis, innovation, and research.
Graduating from a “Software Engineering” programme adds value to professionals working in the IT&C field, as this specialization is highly regarded both in the Romanian job market and in most developed countries around the world.
