Entry qualification

High school / secondary education (or higher) All applicants for bachelor’s degree programs must hold a baccalaureate or an equivalent diploma and have passed the mathematics test with a minimum score of 8. As part of the application process, the applicants will be required to upload : a copy and a legally certified translation of the diploma. The document shall be authenticated by the competent authorities in the issuing country OR a copy and a legally certified translation of the certificate attesting the successful passing of the Baccalaureate examination for graduates of the current year if the original diploma has not yet been issued AND Transcripts of academic records The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / French / Romanian. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university.

Territory requirements	Applications are NOT accepted from the following territories (based on citizenship): European Union. This procedure applies to foreign citizens from non-EU countries who wish to enroll in bachelor’s and master’s programs organized at Politehnica University of Timișoara, as well as in the Romanian language preparatory year at UPT.

Romanian If you do not have a Romanian language certificate, you may: Apply for the Romanian language preparatory year at UPT OR Upload a certificate confirming the completion of the Romanian language preparatory year OR Upload study documents (diplomas) or school records certifying at least four consecutive years of study conducted in Romanian at a school within the Romanian national education system.

Overview

The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Timișoara is the largest faculty within the Politehnica University Timișoara. It offers students comprehensive training as mechanical engineers, with a variety of specializations.

With approximately 2,400 students, the faculty has the infrastructure to support this number and benefits from a rich tradition — its disciplines have been taught since the establishment of the “Politehnica School” in 1920. The faculty currently offers Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degree programmes.

The basic mission of the BSc program in Robotics is to form engineers with specific skills through advanced studies in areas related to Mechatronics and Robotics: mechanics, information technology, and electronics.

The main objective of the BSc program is to develop specific skills in robotics engineering. The students attend coursers, which present information on: languages and technology of programming, mathematics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronic system components, elements of robotic systems synthesis, applications of robotic systems.

An Engineer specialized in Robotics is a person whose job is to design or operate complex robotic systems, which integrate mechanical, electrical and programming elements.
