Entry qualification

High school / secondary education (or higher) All applicants for bachelor degree programmes should hold a baccalaureate or equivalent diploma. As part of the application process, the applicants will be required to upload : a copy and a legally certified translation of the diploma. The document shall be authenticated by the competent authorities in the issuing country. OR a copy and a legally certified translation of the certificate attesting the successful passing of the Baccalaureate examination for graduates of the current year if the original diploma has not yet been issued. AND Transcripts of academic records The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / French / Romanian. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original. You must take the original entry qualification documents along with you when you finally go to the university.

Territory requirements	Applications are NOT accepted from the following territories (based on citizenship): European Union. This procedure applies to foreign citizens from non-EU countries who wish to enroll in bachelor’s and master’s programs organized at Politehnica University of Timișoara, as well as in the Romanian language preparatory year at UPT.

Overview

Starting with the academic year 2023-2024, Politehnica University Timișoara holds Romanian language classes for foreign citizens within the Romanian Language Preparatory Program for Foreign Citizens, in the fields of:

• Mathematics and natural sciences;
• Engineering sciences;
• Social sciences;
• Humanities and arts;
• Biological and biomedical sciences.

The Romanian Language Preparatory Year is designed for international students aiming to enroll in degree programs taught in Romanian. This intensive course equips students with the necessary language skills to succeed in their academic pursuits.

The Romanian Language Preparatory Program for Foreign Citizens was accredited according to the Decision of the ARACIS Council of 25.05.2023.
