Overview
The programme trains specialists in the design and operation of modern railway vehicles, thus creating strong prospects for successful integration into the national and European labour markets. It focuses on developing both technical skills specific to modern railway systems and economic competencies needed for planning and implementing railway transport systems, in line with criteria of effectiveness, technical and economic efficiency, and sustainable development.
The programme also aims to deepen the knowledge acquired during undergraduate studies and to develop scientific research abilities based on modern, computer-assisted concepts, with direct applications in the field.
At the same time, in the context of the large-scale development of European railway corridors that will cross Romania, and their integration into the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T), the programme prepares specialists capable of ensuring railway interoperability, in compliance with EU safety and security standards.
