Overview
The Advanced Mechanical Engineering Master’s program is primarily focused on the development and deepening of professional (engineering) competencies. As a professional master’s program, it is based on both theoretical and practical knowledge and—accordingly—on the professional skills acquired and developed during the Bachelor’s cycle.
The Advanced Mechanical Engineering professional master’s program ensures:
- The acquisition of in-depth and synthesized knowledge in the field and area of specialization;
- The development of competencies that enable graduates to tackle advanced design and conception problems for complex technical processes and systems, to conduct comparative studies of technical solutions, to understand optimization concepts, to perform technical and environmental impact assessments, among others;
- Mastery of professional equipment operation techniques;
- The use of specialized professional software tools.
The main objectives consist in developing specific skills in advanced mechanical engineering, characteristic of specialists in Mechanical Engineering. These are ensured by deepening the knowledge acquired during undergraduate studies, as well as by enhancing scientific research capabilities based on modern, computer-assisted approaches.
