Overview
The Master’s specialization in Advanced Materials and Technologies offers in-depth training in the field of new materials, which, due to their exceptional properties, are increasingly used in industry and in our everyday lives. The foundational knowledge acquired during undergraduate studies, regardless of the specific field, provides a solid base upon which the knowledge and skills gained during the two years of the master’s program can be easily built.
This specialization provides training in the development and design of advanced materials such as: composite materials, advanced ceramic materials, metallic alloys with special properties (amorphous alloys, shape memory alloys, high-temperature resistant alloys, alloys with unique magnetic properties, etc.). Additionally, you will study methods for characterizing these materials using: numerical simulation through finite element methods, structural analysis using optical and electron microscopes, X-ray diffraction, mechanical testing, and more. Throughout the program, you will gain advanced knowledge aimed at improving the operational properties of these materials and ensuring their quality control.
