Overview
The mission of the master’s degree programme Optimization of Hydrotechnical Systems is to train specialists in hydrotechnical engineering, within the field of civil engineering.
The scientific research, theoretical training, and practical activities carried out through lectures, projects, and laboratory work are aimed at preparing future specialists in the development, operation, optimization, rehabilitation, and modernization of hydrotechnical works. By applying fluid flow modeling, linear and nonlinear analysis of hydrotechnical structures, and studying the long-term behavior of hydrotechnical constructions, both the design and the operation of water resource management systems can be optimized.
Through these specific activities, the efficiency of hydrotechnical developments is significantly improved, while also meeting the requirements imposed on Romania by the European Union in this field. Graduates of this programme can pursue careers in civil engineering, particularly in the field of hydrotechnical works, both in Romania and across the European Union.
